As an out-of-the-box thinker who’s always had a way with words, bringing your ideas into fruition with just that perfect little something is my jam! I’m that person who looks at print ads and commercials and dissects them for their effectiveness (or lack thereof). I’m that person who analyzes when copy hits its target audience or misses the mark. Is the copy excluding sects of the population? How does it resonate with marginalized groups? Why does it hit differently with demographic A over demographic B? Consider me your professional over-analyzer!
Having worked in local government for a number of years, being a good listener and researcher, able to anticipate, identify and meet clients’ specific needs, makes the difference between run-of-the-mill customer service and excellent personalized customer service. It has been said that “brevity is the soul of wit” (any fellow Shakespeare nerds out there?). From my time as a freelance proofreader, fine-tuned skills of brevity, word choice, and a keen sense of flow will have your copy right, tight, and landing your target audience with well-crafted precision.
